Sequins And A Blue Skirt

 I think I may have to adjust this skirt.  It should probably hit me a few inches higher in the waist, so I should have gotten a smaller size. But the trouble with sizing down is that it usually comes with a higher hemline. Shorter skirts are less versatile than longer length skirts, in my opinion.  I love the length of this one, but it seems as if it would fit me better if I adjusted the waist a little. Do you agree or disagree? I guess it depends on the cut of the skirt as well.

I looked for the link to this skirt, but I couldn't find it on the website.  I don't even remember the name of it.  It sold out after it went on sale at Nanette Lepore.  Sorry!  I bought the top that went with it because it was on sale too.  Couldn't resist! :)

Beach Time!

Earlier this week, my boyfriend and I made a spontaneous trip to the beach.  Being obsessed with weather.com, I knew the weather ahead of time.  It was overcast at a cool 60 degrees.  So I wore my oversized vintage sweater, comfortable keds, and my trusty cut offs.

In other news, I've been bummed out about GFC shutting down in July.  I kept hoping that those idiots at Google would quickly change their mind at the last minute.  I thought that maybe they'd realize what a huge mistake they'd be making by deleting GFC.  But that was just wishful thinking.  Anyway, I'd love for you guys to follow me on Bloglovin.  I've been using it since I started this blog and I really enjoy it.  I'm also going to have to start a Facebook page.  I really didn't want to.  But I want to make it easier for my followers to get updates from me.  Stay tuned for that.  But for now...follow me on Bloglovin!  :)

My boyfriend bought me this dress a few months ago but I haven't been able to wear it.  It's either been too breezy or too hot.  I took a chance and wore it this weekend.  The weather was perfect for it.  It was pretty warm out, but a nice breeze cooled us all down.

I'm not sure if you can tell but this dress has a dropped waist.  I think that's such a cute detail.  I've been seeing a lot of tops and dresses with dropped waists lately.  It's a nice change from the high waists that I'm used to seeing everywhere.

I hope you guys like these pictures!  We took them at one of my favorite parks in town.  I used to run here all the time, so the scenery brings back lots of memories.  It's beautiful here year round.

These pictures were taken back in December.  After the chaos of Chrismtas, New Years, and my swollen hand, I had forgotten all about these.   It was a perfect 70 degrees that day.  Which is unusually warm for December.  I remember being so cold for most of the week that when I woke up that morning, I felt crazy hot.  Wrapping my wet hair in a messy bun seemed like the right style for this unexpected weather.

I wish I could write more.  But in all honesty, my brain is somewhat fried.  I have trouble sleeping sometimes (last night was one of those nights).  When that happens I don't feel fully awake for most of the day.  There are nights when I find myself doing the most random little things to distract myself from actually going to bed.  LOL!  It's a really lame habit.

Star Spangled

I've worn this blouse with these shorts countless times. It's such an easy, comfortable outfit.  However, this blouse wrinkles very easily.  I've given up on ironing it because whenever I do, it ends up getting wrinkled anyway. But it's not really that big of a deal since the material is really gauzy.

You know what is a big deal?  My lipstick :)   It's called Party Parrot. My boyfriend bought it for me some months ago after I went to the mall and the girl working at Mac told me that color didn't exist. Right.    The color of this lipstick is very similar to "Impassioned" except that Party Parrot is matte.  If you compare the colors side by side, they look almost identical.  They're really different!  I think Party Parrot has a little more red in it.

I wore this outfit on Cinco de Mayo.  But I didn't post it until now.  This is one of my favorite tops that I own. I love how unique it is.  The fringe detail is my favorite part of it.

Anyway, I'm back for good!  I don't have any pictures taken recently.  These ones were from May and the next ones I'll post will probably be another set that I forgot to post a while back.  But I hope you guys like them.  :)
