Chic in Pink

Chic in Pink 1 Chic in Pink 2 Chic in Pink 3 Wearing:
Filippo Catarzi for ASOS fedora hat
Forever 21 scarf
Tulle pink coat
Joe's Jeans
Nine West booties (super old)
Vintage purse
Clinique "A Different Grape" lipstick

Although I love neutral colors, a pink hue can brighten up a cold dreary day.  This pink coat has become a sort of basic color for me.  There are countless ways to wear a bold colored coat.  Sticking to only two colors (pink and black) is the simplest.

It was drizzling when these photos were taken.  Luckily, my fedora kept my hair and face dry.  And my cozy Forever 21 scarf kept me nice and warm.

Sorry for the quickie post.  I meant to write more.  Hopefully these three pictures are enough to keep you guys busy for a minute ;)  Come back soon!  I have lots more pictures to share in the coming days ahead.

Bundled Up

Bundled Up 1 Bundled Up 2 Bundled Up 3 Bundled Up 4 Bundled 5 Wearing:
Saks Fifth Avenue sequin beret
Vera Wang coat
Forever 21 scarf (purchased in November, I think)
Joe's Jeans
Nine West "Mainstay" bootie
Vintage gloves
Vintage purse
Urban Decay "Big Bang" Super Saturated lip pencil
Location: Petaluma, Ca

It was one of those cold, windy days when I wore this outfit.  It was actually really hard to find a place to take pictures.  So we found this alley behind one of our favorite restaurants to snap these.  It was the only spot in Petaluma where my hair wasn't blowing in my face.

This coat is new to the blog, but I've had it for about a month and a half.  I've been wearing it so much since I bought it.  I love the gray color and how soft it is.  It's a printed herringbone.  For reference, I'm wearing a XS.  You can buy it at Nordstrom and Lord and Taylor.

Another new thing is this lip pencil.  It's a gorgeous color!  It's a bright, metallic fuchsia color.

Have you guys purchased any new lip colors lately?  I feel like I always gravitate towards bright pink.

Winter Blossoms

Winter Blossoms 1 Winter Blossoms 2 Winter Blossoms 3 Winter Blossoms 4 Winter Blossoms 5 Wearing:
Dolce and Gabbana almond flower sunglasses (DG 4230 - color 501/87)
Tulle pink coat
Joe's Jeans
Vintage quilted faux leather purse
Jimmy Choo pumps (kitten heel)
Mac "Flat Out Fabulous" lipstick

There is nothing like a fabulous pair of sunglasses to brighten up a cold winter day.  Or maybe just brighten up a cold.  I wore these beauties yesterday for the first time.  They were a Christmas present to myself.  And they certainly helped to cheer me up that day.  I was feeling drowsy and achy from a bad cold.  While they didn't actually aide in making me feel better, I felt better knowing that no one could tell I was sick.  ;)

I purchased these butterfly shaped sunglasses after I saw them in an advertisement in W magazine.  The intricate almond flower design was unlike any other flower-adorned glasses I'd ever seen.  They're so unique!  Wouldn't you agree?  They're vintage inspired...and you know I'm a sucker for anything vintage/vintage-inspired.

Happy New Year!  Thanks to everyone who subscribed, commented, and visited my blog in 2014 (and previous years).  You guys make blogging a great time for me.  I love reading your comments and reading your blogs.
