Summer mornings are usually foggy here in Sonoma.  It's chilly and Fall like.  It almost feels like you're at the beach.  Just after 10 am, most of the fog burns off and the sun will warm everything back up again.  Well, for most of the morning I wear a nice warm coat.  We have to dress in layers here...or at least I do because I'm always cold.

I've worn this dress numerous times on and off the blog.  While I think shift dresses are cute, the boxy fit is something I can't quite get used to.  The beautiful lace layer on this dress is what makes me love it.  It's perfect when it's peeking out from under a coat or underneath a blazer.  That's kind of what I normally wear to work anyway.

Floral Romper

I found this mesh bodice romper at ASOS.  I fell in love with the beautiful embroidery on the front and back.  I had to wear my Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses to match it.  The long sleeve version is also available but I couldn't find the link for you guys...sorry.

I've already worn this romper twice since buying it a few weeks ago.  I'll have to do a post on the multiple ways you can wear one romper.  They're actually really versatile.

Summer Sweater

A few weeks ago, I wore this outfit to the beach (minus the bag...I wore a wicker one instead).  And this past weekend wore it all over again.  This cropped sweater is a vintage sweater from the 90s.  It belonged to my mom, like most of my vintage items.

I think this outfit is perfect for a summer bbq, brunch with the girls, or just a lazy saturday.  I always repeat outfits and this will definitely be one of my go-to casual looks for summer.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty excited about it officially being summer.  It's the best time of year for me.  I live for the summer <3

I didn't mean to take such a long break from blogging.  Prior to my previous post, it had been almost been over a month since I posted.

Life lately has been beautiful and tragic; a strange combination of good and bad.   To fight the bad, I've been focusing on what I love to do, instead of what others want me to do.  I've been surrounding myself with loving, positive people (or trying to at least).  And it has had a major impact on my mood and self esteem.

I strongly believe that this new mind set has landed me new opportunities.  I finally feel like I'm going somewhere in my life.  And most importantly, I'm happy.  This has resulted in waking up feeling incredibly grateful every morning.  I'm grateful not because I'm getting what I want, but because I'm grateful for what I already have.

What to Wear to a Formal Wedding

I found this gorgeous yellow illusion maxi dress at ASOS.  I fell in love with the lace and and sheer polka dot fabric combination.  I kept my makeup simple and neutral, and with a nice cat eye.

This dress is still available at ASOS...I only wish it came in more colors.  I also kind of wish it came in a smaller size lol.  For reference, this is a size 2.  There was a significant amount of leftover material in the waist area.  It's doable, but I would have preferred it to be more fitted at the waist.  There are two layers of fabric (it looks see through but it's not.  the only part that's see through/sheer is the top bodice part and the bottom).  Definitely order a size smaller.
