I recently read an article about monochrome makeup.  I had no idea monochrome makeup was a trend when these photos were taken.  But I'm all for it.  Reading that article made me want to branch out and try different colors.  I'm planning on wearing a purple eyeshadow with purple lipstick soon.  I think that would be a cute look for spring.

This is another outfit I wore while in Tahoe.  Again, the key was to stay as warm as possible.  I wore my pink coat with lots of layers underneath.  And I wore this cable knit hat and scarf that my mom made.  She crocheted little flowers to go along with it (they're removable too).

I've got one more snow outfit to share with you.  It's the coziest one yet ;)

In the Snow

For my birthday,  I decided to spend a few days in Lake Tahoe.  Prior to this trip, I think it had been only a year since I saw the snow.  It seems longer than that for some reason.

Anyway, even though the weather back home was starting to get springlike, it was still fun to see the icy whiteness of Tahoe.

Underneath this vintage coat, I'm wearing my normal clothing and some thermals underneath.  I'm always cold as it is.  When I go to the snow, I make sure I'm extra warm :) This boxy coat helped me hide all my layers.  Speaking of coats, this one is a vintage hand me down from my mother (as is the stole).  I seriously love wearing my mom's vintage clothing.  She has always had amazing taste in fashion.

I try to update my instagram as often as possible.  But I don't want to spend too much time on it.  I find that distancing myself from social media is refreshing.  I'm a hermit by nature (and a total introvert), so having a blog is a huge deal for me.  And having to keep up with it is a completely different story.  But I try!  I love fashion and blogging.  That's why I keep posting for you guys.
