Every February and early March we get the prettiest blossoms here in the valley.  I always loved seeing them as a kid.  They made the winter look a little less gloomy.  I think that on cloudy days they look even more amazing.  Anyway, I spotted these blooming trees on the way back from the city one day.  I love pink and anything that looks like cotton candy so I couldn't help but ham it up in front of this row of trees ;)

This sweater is another piece that belonged to my mom.  I think it's from the 90s or late 80s...I'm not sure.  But it's really soft and in amazing condition.  It used to have shoulder pads but I cut them out because I thought that was a little much lol.

I've worn this outfit a couple of times already.  What I usually do during the winter if I don't have a lot of time to think about what to wear in the morning or I'm in a rush, I just wear an all black outfit and a different coat or cardigan.  I also wear different accessories.  You can put together so many different looks with just a basic black t shirt and black pants or jeans.

Also, I'm wearing a new lipstick from Tarte.  I've never worn any of their products before but I really liked this color.  And I love that they're cruelty free.  I'm slowly transitioning and making sure all of my beauty purchases are vegan.

Two weekends ago, Amber and I went to the Gravenstein Apple Fair in Sebastopol, Ca.  Both of us had always wanted to go but for one reason or another never went.  Usually the fair would coincide with Hot August Nights in Reno, NV.  HAN is my favorite car show event ever, so I'd have to miss this cute fair every year...for about 7 years in a row.

I'm really happy to have gone this year and experienced it.  It was definitely a different crowd than the rowdier one in Sonoma County.  It seemed a lot more old fashioned.

Anyway, we took some outfit pics against this infamous pink wall at Screamin' Mimi's.  I wore one of my many HAN t shirts.  This one happens to be from the children's department.  Women's car show t shirts are never as cool looking as the men's or boy's t shirts.  I thought this one would look better because it's cropped and the graphics are on the right spot.

Do you ever wear something you thought was so cute you couldn't wait to take photos with it?  And then you look at them and realize that what you thought was a cute outfit wasn't so cute after all?  Sometimes what we wear doesn't translate very well on the camera.  This is what happened to this outfit.  I absolutely love this pinafore.  I think it's adorable, fun, and such a cute throwback to the 90s.   I can't say enough good things about this piece.  It's comfortable, soft, and everything I want to wear when I just want to relax.  But for some reason the camera doesn't seem to agree with me.  It looks better in person, I promise :)

What made me want to buy this jumpsuit (or romper...or pinafore lol) in the first place is a photo I came across.  It's an old photo of my mom in the early 90s wearing a corduroy pinafore jumpsuit.  It was a dusty sky blue color.  She wore a dark blue floral print turtleneck underneath.  That outfit looked so good on her!  I knew at that point I had to get my hands on something similar.  Topshop had a few cordury pinafore jumpsuits last year, but unfortunately I missed out.  Lucky for me, no one seemed to be buying this one in my size...so I snagged it.

What do you guys think of this pinafore?  I totally get why some women hate them.  They can look frumpy.  But layer it up right and you've got a perfect outfit to wear for the weekend.
