Wearing:
Forever 21 poncho/cape
Forever 21 mock turtle neck
Forever 21 necklace
BCBG fur stole
AG Jeans "the Stilt"
Prada sunglasses
Vintage boots
Louis Vuitton mini back pack
Burberry watch
Mac "Fresh Moroccan" lipstick
These are recent pictures. They were taken right before a major storm. Knowing that we would be spending most of our upcoming days indoors, my boyfriend and I took a walk through downtown Sonoma. During the walk, I raided a persimmon tree. I bought some fresh, tree-ripened Hachiya persimmons from a fellow Sonoman. It was nice to get out and enjoy the cool December temperatures (which felt more like fall).
I wore this exact outfit (minus the jeans) to work about a month or so ago. The jeans I wore with it were darker, which I think looked better than these. But I find these jeans to be much more comfortable because they have more stretch to them. I though I'd point that out. This is pretty much another "Wear to Work" ensemble.
Thank you to everyone that wished me a happy Thanksgiving and Christmas! Your comments always make me smile :)
Hope you all have a happy and safe New Years!

Like Jackie O (Wear To Work)
Wearing:
Bebe origami dress (old)
Dior sunglasses
Pearl headband
Mac "Fresh Moroccan"
Burberry watch
Tory Burch "Kaitlin" pumps
This outfit reminded me of something Jackie O would have worn. I hadn't realized it until I imported these pictures onto my desktop. Instead of wearing pearls around my neck like she would have, I wore them on top my head in the form of this headband.
Anyway, I have a question for you. As I mentioned in my last post, I have a lot of left over summer pictures. Would you care to see them? Or would you rather wait until I post outfits that are more season appropriate (with layers, capes, coats, rain boots, etc)? I'm not sure if you care to see summer attire for the rest of this season or not. Even though I can still get away with wearing some summer ish clothing at the moment. I just want to know what my readers would prefer to see. So let me know in the comments :)
If I end up posting all of my summer outfits, I'll mix it up with some recent winter wear as well. I think that's the best option for this little "problem." Too many outfit photos isn't really a bad thing, right? Now I've just got to find the time to post them.
Hope you all have a great rest of your week! Us Californians are currently getting a lot of rain. There are flash flood warnings for my county. Stay safe, Sonomans. Don't get caught in the storm!

Lost
Wearing:
ASOS denim crop top and skirt
Vintage quilted purse
Zara leopard print flats
Prada sunglasses
Mac "Flat Out Fabulous" lipstick
Location: Sebastopol, Ca
I lost my favorite necklace. Remember the gold cross necklace I always had hanging around my neck? Yeah...that one.
It's been missing since August and now my bare neck feels naked. Whenever I put together an outfit in the morning, it feels like something is missing. This happens every morning. I know it may seem like I'm being a little dramatic, but I've had that necklace for most of my life. So when something I've had for that long disappears, it's hard to get used to. Even if it's just a necklace.
Since I couldn't find it when I put this outfit together, I threw on a vintage replacement. Hopefully it will only be a temporary replacement.
You can probably tell by the pictures that these ware not recent. It's currently rainy...the complete opposite of a sun-shining day. I literally have about 10 sets of outfit pictures that have yet to be posted. They are all from this past Summer. I'll try my very best to update you all with my recent outfits as well.
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Gray Days Ahead (Wear to Work)
Wearing:
Forever 21 dress (recent)
Forever 21 tassel necklace
Jimmy Choo pumps (recent)
Vintage quilted purse
Burberry watch
MAC "Captive" lipstick
Change is good.
I'm excited to announce that there will be some new changes to my blog regarding my outfits. I've recently landed a new job...with a different dress code than what I'm used to. Throughout my blogging years, my outfits have reflected my freelancing career. I've been able to showcase my laid back and care-free style. But now a new opportunity has risen. While it hasn't changed my personal style of attire, it has changed the type of attire I wear. What I've been wearing to work lately is still true to my own style. But it's definitely much more professional.
Now, I won't be able to document all of my work day outfits during the week. But you will get to see some of them. And some is better than none, right? I know this will bring a new spin on my blog (as most of you will be able to relate to my style a little more now with work wear). I'll call this new series that showcases my work outfits "Wear to Work."
Hope you all have a great rest of your weekend!

Little Roses
Wearing:
Vintage blouse (another vintage item that belonged to my mother)
GAP shorts
Bebe pumps (super old)
Prada sunglasses
Barney's wicker bag
Mac "Captive" lipstick
This is such a dainty and feminine little blouse, I had to get pictures of myself wearing it. I've only worn it about three times in the last two months. That may not seem like a lot but it is considering the fact that I (similar to most of you reading my blog) have more tops than I'd like to admit. In fact, the number of tops I currently own are in the three digits.
I kept this look a little retro with my cat eye sunglasses, vintage inspired shoes and matte lipstick.
And I know I say this all the time, but these pictures are far from recent. They were taken in July when Summer was in full swing. Now those leaves on the trees I was standing next to in these pictures are more on the yellowish side. Luckily, it's still just as hot as it was when these pictures were taken. We may be in October, but the temperatures are in the high 90s.
Have a great rest of your week. Thanks for reading :)

Falling for Fall
Wearing:
Elie Tahari denim vest
Weston Wear embroidered sun dress
Steve Madden sandals
Mac "Party Parrot" or "Impassioned" lipstick (I can't remember which. Sorry!)
Vintage quilted purse
Despite all the little earthquakes at night, Fall here is off to a good start. It's already rained twice. And the weather is so perfect that I can still wear my summer attire (yes...especially crop tops and shorts). We get the summer "leftover" heat with a nice cool breeze in the evening. I love it!
This is an outfit I've worn many times throughout the years. It's pretty simple and didn't take a lot to style. It's just a sun dress with a denim vest, sandals, and minimal accessories. And a bright lip for a nice contrast. Easy peasy!
Hope you're all having a great weekend :)

Late Summer
Wearing:
Asos eyelet crop top
Zara gingham shorts (they were longer but I rolled them up)
Topshop sandals
Barney's wicker purse
Prada sunglasses
Mac "Girl About Town" lipstick

I'm trying desperately to hold onto these last days of summer. The long, hot nights are slipping away faster than I'd like. As a result, my crop tops and shorts are in a constant rotation. I've been dreading and anticipating the return of Fall.
Last month, while driving along my favorite strip of Highway 12, I caught a glimpse of something I couldn't take my eyes off of. I noticed the first tree along the hills that was changing color. It immediately made me think of Fall, cool mornings, knitted sweaters, and pumpkin flavored anything. But at the same time it made me realize that my favorite season was coming to an end. Already the nights seem shorter. Despite the heatwave we've had this week, it still doesn't stop the fog from spilling over the hills and into the valley at night.
So lately, I've been trying to soak up the last remaining days of summer light. These photos were taken a month ago (maybe more), but this is pretty much what I've been wearing all summer.
We still get plenty of warmth and sunshine in the Fall. But still...I'm a summer girl and always will be. There is nothing like the lazy hot days of June and July.
