What I Wore on Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day_1 Valentine's Day_2 Valentine's Day_3 Wearing:

Bebe black origami dress (old...actually it was new but I never wore it until yesterday)
Dior sunglasses
Vintage velvet purse
Silver ring and rose brooch from Sierra Silver and Gold Buyers
Forever 21 heart tights (with a hole thanks to my ring)
Mac "Fresh Moroccan" lipstick

I wanted to keep it simple yet classy for Valentine's Day.  This is the outfit I wore.  I got all dressed up, had some lunch with my amazing boyfriend and then headed to the shooting range.  LOL!  Nothing says "I love you" like hitting your target.

I hope that every single one of you had a wonderful time yesterday.  Especially you single gals out there!  I was single for many years so I know that Valentine's Day can be such a drag.  It's really such a stupid holiday.  It's not even a real holiday.  It probably all started when some boring old fart wanted to think of a new way to lure in more customers into his department store chain.  The holidays were over and business was slow.  So he decided to invent a new holiday to increase sales.  I'm pretty sure that's what happened ;)  The concept of V Day is wonderful.  But shouldn't love be celebrated every day?  Real love doesn't come from a heart shaped box of chocolates, nor from a bouquet of roses wrapped in plastic.

But I'm totally not going to lie.  I do like getting those things :)  In the end I guess the joke is on me.  I fell for this phony holiday.

  11. As always, you look fabulously chic!
I completely understand what you mean by love being celebrated every day - I spent Valentine's Day away from my partner while she was supposed to be here, and the difficult part was being constantly reminded, by the day itself and by the buzz around it, that we were supposed to be together but we were nevertheless apart. But does it mean we love each other less? Nope. So I'll just plan a hell of a do-over Valentine's day for when she comes back, or better, make every day Valentine's day (I'm up for it if it means dressing nicely haha)

  12. I hate when my tights rip, my rings catch them all the time as well!
