Cropped Leopard Print Jacket
Wearing:
ASOS Fedora
Bebe leopard print cropped fur jacket
Black contrast top
Topshop jeans
Vintage quilted purse
Nine West "MainStay" booties
YSL "Ultimate Beige" lipstick
It got a little warmer this week, so I wore this cropped jacket instead of one of my long coats.
I've been feeling guilty lately about owning animal products, like this jacket. I feel horrible knowing that contributed to animal abuse.
Even though I own a lot of leather in my closet, most of it is old. I've been making a conscious effort to purchase faux leather and faux fur lately. It really does make a difference.
Last year I saw the movie Earthlings. You can watch it for free here on youtube. I have to warn you, it's graphic. But I feel it's something we all need to see. Since watching the movie, I've completely changed the way I eat. I've slowly made changes to my lifestyle as well.
I wanted to share this movie with you guys before, but I wasn't sure if I would reach anyone. Especially considering the fact that I still wear leather and fur (most of it is old or vintage)...I didn't want to sound like a hypocrite. But I'm doing the best that I can. And I hope you give that movie a shot. :) Especially if you love animals!

For a Rainy Day
Wearing:
ASOS leather cap (wishing it were faux)
Vera Wang coat
SheIn sweater c/o
Paige jeans
Nine West booties
Vintage quilted leather purse
MAC "Rebel" lipstick
I woke up yesterday morning to the sound of heavy rain and wind. I couldn't wait to get out of the house and face the wet, chilly air. Winter storms make me happy.
By the time I finished getting ready, it had stopped raining and a migraine had developed. It was by far the worst migraine I'd had in years. So while I didn't get to enjoy the rain, it was still cold enough (and drizzling enough) to wear a rainy day outfit when I went out.
Although I'm feeling better, my mind is still reeling from that migraine from hell. I feel almost like I'm hung over from it.
Anyway, I hope this outfit inspires you on what to wear for a rainy day. Even though my coat isn't waterproof, it can still stop me from getting soaked. Plus, I've got a hat on to keep my face and head dry.

Put a Bow On It
Wearing:
Dior sunglasses
Tulle pink coat (via Nordstrom)
ASOS bow
Vintage velvet purse
Joe's Jeans
Topshop shoes
Mac "Chatterbox" lipstick
This coat is so much fun to style! Once I wear it a few more times, I'm going to do a post on all the different ways you can wear a pink coat. There are countless ways to wear a brightly hued coat. I've had people tell me that they can't pull off such a bright color on outerwear. But they're so wrong! We shouldn't be afraid of color...and if you are, stick to a two color palette like I did here. Pink and black always look chic together. When in doubt, just keep it simple. A white shirt and jeans would look perfect with a brightly colored coat or jacket.

Camel and White
Wearing:
Forever 21 knitted poncho / cape (last worn here)
Seven jeans
Vintage boots
Royal Scout boot cuffs c/o (in the color "Golden Bear" available here)
Forever 21 velvet mini purse
On my eyes: Urban Decay Naked 3 palette
Mac "Captive" lipstick
No, these aren't new boots. I'm wearing these faux fur boot cuffs from Royal Scout and Co! These are super easy to wear and come in three different colors (Golden Bear, Black Bear, or Grey Wolf). Put them on and you can instantly add some glam to your outfit.
What I love most about this company is that all of their items are cruelty free. No animals were harmed in the making of their gorgeous cuffs, scarves, pillows and throws. They're also based in the Bay Area (like me!).
Royal Scout and Co is offering my readers 15% off with code: "royalravenlocks." You have one week from today to use this discount code. Just in time for the holidays! These would make a great gift, don't you think? :)
